Speech-Language Pathology

Children may experience a wide range of conditions that impede their ability to learn and use spoken and/or written language, and these difficulties can negatively impact both academic and social functioning. While it can be intimidating to be referred to a speech-language pathologist by your child’s pediatrician, or to receive a formal diagnosis for a condition that is new to you, we want you to know that we are here to help. When your child or adolescent is evaluated by one of our SLP’s, you will receive a detailed report and recommendations for your child’s treatment. Our clinicians craft a treatment plan that will meet your child’s specific needs, and our goal is to help all of our young clients to achieve their full communication potential.

More Than Just Speech Therapy

Nicole Gerami is highly respected in the field and has had extensive experience acting as a forensic Speech-Language Pathologist and Expert Witness. She has worked with clients, school districts, and attorneys to help determine what a child should receive in terms of evaluation and therapy. This is important when there are malpractice lawsuits, personal injury cases, and special education and disability benefits hearings. Nicole conducts extensive independent educational evaluations (IEE’s) and serves as an expert witness when needed. She is experienced in testifying as to the facts of speech language difficulties and treatments and prognosis in such cases. She is able to explain these matters to a judge and jury in an objective manner.

Social Skills Groups

Learn Through Play

We have developed Social Skills Groups for every age and ability level. We know that children learn best when they are playing and that through play, children learn to communicate, take turns, share and ultimately, make friends. Our social skills groups are a blend of the best-researched programs such as Social ThinkingTM, the Zones of RegulationTM, and original lessons written by the experienced speech-language pathologists of Nicole Gerami, LLC.
